At Maisha Wellness & Counselling, we offer therapy that’s emotionally honest, culturally grounded, and centered on connection. With others and with yourself. We’re a virtual practice based in Alberta, launching in Fall 2025. And we’re hiring therapists who bring heart, skill, and a trauma-informed lens to their work. If you…
are licensed (or provisionally licensed) in Alberta as a Registered Psychologist or Clinical Social Worker
have at least 2 years of clinical experience post-grad
are registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists or similar regulatory body (ie. CAP, ACSW, CCC)
fluent in telehealth and digital documentation
interested in creating mental health content (blogs, social media) or looking to establish an online presence as a therapist
offer trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
work relationally (whether it’s couples navigating conflict, individuals healing attachment wounds, or families figuring out boundaries)
care about being real with your clients while staying rooted in clinical integrity…

Your General Responsibilities:
Providing evidence-based, culturally responsive counselling to the demographics you are specialized and interested in working with (ie. individual, couples, kids/teens, group or families) via our secure telehealth platform
Maintaining clear, ethical documentation (we use a secure EHR) and client confidentiality while adhering to all professional and ethical standards
Managing your caseload with support from our systems — you set your availability, we help fill your calendar
Holding therapeutic space that’s attuned, inclusive, and grounded in best practices
Collaboration and participation (as you wish) in optional opportunities for content creation or community outreach
Commitment to Maisha Wellness & Counselling’s clinical values of providing person-centred care, demonstrating cultural sensitivity, holding a feedback-informed approach, and showing compassion and empathy in your interactions
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or a related field
Registered and in good standing with a regulatory body (e.g., CAP, ACSW, CCC)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
Access to high-speed internet and a computer with a microphone & webcam.
Experience delivering therapy via telehealth is an asset
Skilled in digital documentation and EHR platforms
Grounded in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach to care
Clinical training in evidence based approaches such as CBT, DBT, SBFT, ACT, EMDR, EFT, ERP, Gottman method, etc. is an asset
Excellent oral and communication skills
Strong understanding and adherence to professional ethics
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
